Emory Creek

I recently rented a 28 foot motorhome and went on a three day road trip to Emory Creek, which is about a 10 minute drive north of Hope. The campsite I went to is privately owned, it is a coop, which means that each site is individually owned. Some sites have tents set up, some have little cabins that were built eons ago and a lot of the sites have trailers. The site that I went to, actually three sites, one is Joanne's, one is Cam's and the other site is co-owned by the Sorokovsky's and the Walz's. Upon our arrival (Tim followed me up) Joanne was in the process of receiving a newer trailer (moving day) and the scene was set for a considerable amount of drama, especially since I now am putting a 28 foot motorhome in the mix... now, keep in mind that we are in the middle of a co-op which means there are rules (and lots of them), her new trailer is situated in the fire lane and so is the motorhome, well!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen so much drama in one place in my life, you'd think that the world was coming to an end... you can't leave the motorhome in the firelane, (oh yah, did I mention that I was always within 25 feet of the motorhome) which means at a moments notice I can move it... anyways, across from Joanne's site and next door to Cam's there was a empty site and the owners were not coming up this weekend, so I parked the motorhome in there, out of the way and I was still close by to move it. TOO MUCH DRAMA!!!!! Now I am trespassing by parking the motorhome on private property... give me a break, it was never out of my sight.... I thought this was going to be a relaxing adventure, NOT!!!!!!!!!

Things did get better... eventually the trailers got switched, the motorhome was parked in a spot which everybody was happy with and life did settle down.

That was Saturday... Sunday all the kids packed up (I am still scratching my head at Rae-Lynn doing laundry before she left) hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... take it home.... anyway, after they had all left, it became quiet...

I left at noon on Tuesday, I enjoyed my visit with Jo (it was enlightening) and arrived home safe and sound later in the afternoon.
