It has been almost 4 weeks since Sasha left us and Mom decided we need another pet... hmmmm... okay... I give up and in...so............one of our neighbours has had some medical issues and can no longer look after herself so she is going into a care home. She had an elderly dog, with medical issues, so the dog was put down and she also had a budgie, which is now ours. It is a male Budgie and somebody had named him "missy", go figure, a male named "missy", he can join my family anytime. Anyway, as I was walking home with him (in his cage) he was cheery and noisy and I have renamed him "sparky". We have needed a little spark in our house lately and hopefully the bird will help.
You know, this is not the end of this story, well, I think most of you know that we have another little dog named Gussie... Gussie has come into her own since Sasha died, she has turned into a 15 lb fearless ball of fluff and fur. She runs out into the yard chasing all sorts of imagined critters and has turned into the "guard" dog. Well, along comes Sparky and Gussie thinks that the bird is something to protect us from, haha... more to come

got to keep you guys on your toes right... Mare, all you have to do is teach the thing to talk now...
Remember now.....keep it clean!...If "Sparky" is taught to say anything intelligent...make sure he is taught how to say "Here comes Butthead"...(in a conversational bird's voice).....
