We are at the Phoenix airport Travelodge, nothing special, the air conditioning doesn't work and it is 84 outside and about the same inside. Joan doesn't seem to feel the heat and I am dying... can't seem to keep the moisture in... oh well, I will dry up like an old prune...will be back in Vancouver tomorrow where the humidity will do wonders to my delicate skin.
The drive up from Tucson was uneventful, like any city the traffic got a little heavier the closer we got and the directions to the hotel, off of mapquest, aren't always clear... we arrived here just before 7 and when the sunsets, it gets dark quickly... so driving in unfamiliar territory has it's disadvantages when you don't know where you are going, only went in the wrong direction once...
Yo Cameron, you would have loved today in Tucson, or any day in Tucson, there is an air force base there and twice today I saw these jets that have flown in the abby airshow and a transport plane (huge)... I tried to get pictures, but they flew over too fast.
It is time to go get some shut eye, we are once again heading off the airport at the ungodly hour of 7 and to drop off the car and check in. Will chat with all of you soon, thanks for reading my blog and hopefully I will be able to do this again soon... tata for now... Marilyn
